I can't connect to my router
If you enter the IP listed in the instructions and you receive "page cannot be displayed" error there are a few things you can do.
First check the Router information knowledgebase article to make sure you are attempting to connect to the correct IP address.
After you have verified that, make sure that there is a solid Ethernet connection between the modem and the router, this will be indicated by a solid link light on the modem and a solid connection light on the router. If there is not a good Ethernet connection unplug both ends of the cable and then plug them back in to "re seat" the cable.
If you are still unable to get a solid light call the manufacturer of the router to receive further trouble shooting.
If you have a solid link light, it is possible that the LAN IP of the router has been changed. If this is the case and (you have a solid link light but are unable to connect to the router.) you might want to look into resetting the router. Be advised that resetting the router will bring everything back to factory settings, meaning if you had any static routes, ports forwarded, reserved IPs, etc this information will be lost.
However if you have done nothing special to the router resetting it won't hurt anything. Simply locate the reset button on the router, normally a small button that must be pushed with something like the head of a pin. Press the reset button and hold it down for 1-2 seconds, and wait while the router reboots.
If you are still unable to access the router call the manufacturer of the router for further tech support.
