  1. Unfiltered equipment - EVERYTHING except the DSL modem MUST have a filter on it. Satellite TV, alarm systems, 2 line phone jacks, fax machine, credit card machine..........
 
  1. Bad inside wiring - Animals like to chew wires, Copper will corrode, wall jacks get broken.
 
  1. The phone company may have made changes to the line - The phone company is connecting, disconnecting, installing, and uninstalling services everyday. Many changes may be made on the line.
