SYMPTOMS
Modem indicates that it has sync but web and email services are not working.
 
CAUSE
The Alcatel 1000 is preconfigured with a vpi/vci setting of 8/35.
 
RESOLUTION
Have Telco set the VPI/VCI to 8/35 on their end. If the DSL is on Verizon, the modem will not work.
