Efficient 5100-115 UHP Modem
Front Panel Lights
| Power
| A steady red Power light indicates the modem is on. Becomes steady green when the modem passes self-diagnostics. If the modem fails self-diagnostics, the light will remain red. A flashing green/red light indicates data is being written to memory.
| Ethernet
| A flashing light indicates communication between the modem and your computer. A steady green light indicates that the modem is connected to a computer or network.
| DSL
| A slow blinking light indicates that the modem is searching for the DSL signal. A steady green light indicates it has found the DSL signal. You will not connect to the Internet unless the DSL light displays steady green.
| Activity
| When this light is blinking slowly, the modem is attempting to sign in to EarthLink using PPPoE. A steady green light indicates that your modem has successfully signed in. A flashing light indicates information is being uploaded or downloaded from the Internet.

| I/O
| This switch turns the modem's power on and off.
| Power
| This outlet provides power to the modem.
| Ethernet
| This port transfers data between the modem and your computer. Plug the Ethernet cable into this port.
| DSL
| This port transfers data between the modem and the Internet. Plug the telephone cable into this port.
| RESET
| (located on the side of the modem) This resets the modem to its default settings.
