Open Thunderbird and click on tools > Account Settings and the following screen will appear.
 

 

 
Here you will click on Add Account.
 

 
Select Newsgroup account.
 

 
Type in your name and e-mail address and click next.
 

 
Newsgroup Server is news.dslextreme.com
 

 
Account name should be filled in but you can name it what ever you like.
 

 
This page is just a summary. If it is not correct just click the back button and make your corrections. Other wise click finish.
 

 
Here you will click on Manage newsgroup subscriptions and you will see the following screen
 

 
Type in your password and click on ok and your newsgroups will start downloading.
