Configure Incredimail to obtain email  

Configure IncrediMail to obtain email
Incredimail is a popular mail client used due to it's unique styles, stationary, animations, and VERY large array of smiley faces. Incredimail can be downloaded from http://www.incredimail.com/english/splash.html.
1. First off open incredimail, if this is your first time opening incredimail the configuration will come up automatically. If you have used incredimail before you will need to go to tools>accounts, and select add.

2. A prompt asking you if you want to allow incredimail to configure automatically or if you want to configure it yourself will appear. Select Let me configure settings myself and then select next.

3. Incredimail will now ask for your full name, which is the name that will be displayed when you send email. You will also have to enter your email address which is [email protected]. After you have entered both of these and click next

4. Now you will need to enter the type and names of your incoming and outgoing mail servers. Your mail server type can be either IMAP or POP3, either is functional please see the What is the difference between POP and IMAP knowledge base article for more information. The incoming mail server is mail.dslextreme.com, and the outgoing server is smtp.dslextreme.com. After you have filled out the information required press the next button.

5. At this point incredimail will ask you to supply it with a username and password. Your username is the same as your email address without the @dslextreme.com suffix. And your password is the password that you chose when creating the account. Enter in your username and password and then click finish.

Congratulations you have successfully configured Incredimail to obtain your DSL Extreme email. To receive your email from this point on simply press send/receive.
