Spam information
Spam is unsolicited bulk email that are often commercial in nature. These emails may be directed to common email addresses or to easily guessed email addresses. Sometimes a list of addresses is compiled by automated tools that search message boards, webpages and social networks for email addresses. Free services, such as "Joke of the Day" mailing lists, may also share your information with spammers. To minimize spam take these following steps: Create a public email address to be used when registering for free services or for receiving public correspondence. Create a private email address for professional and personal correspondence. Doing this will allow you to minimize spam received to your private email address. If you're receiving spam, go to our spam reporting tool at: spam.dslextreme.com. Check the appropriate messages and click the "Report Spam" button. This will move the spam into your Junk E-Mail folder and help us better identify spam in the future. You can report spam to the Federal Trade Commission. Visit http://www.ftc.gov/spam/ for more information.
