How to Ping With MAC OSX
The easiest way to Ping and Traceroute on Mac OS is to use the Network Utility. To open Network Utility, go to Spotlight (the magnifying glass icon in the upper right hand). Type Network Utility in spotlght. Here you can perform standard network tests such as pings, nslookups, traceroute, etc.
